Going Green

Building things and then breaking them and starting all over again from scratch is how I arrive at the desired final product. My method may not be a popular one, but it works for me, and maybe to others with my same affliction (a sickness called ‘perfectionism’).

Launching the ‘New Web Campaign”.

 This time, I wanted to integrate some new features to our main site. These are some of the things I had in mind:

·        A tableless web site.

·        All CSS 2.0 and XHTML 1.0

·        That would validate to the most rigid standards of the W3C.

·        With a few integrations such as Blog/News updating capabilities.

·        Also a Flash Gallery with an ever growing data entering system (for easy update with new jobs/projects)

·        A client Login area, with details and resources for all of our clients.

·        A fast downloading site.

·        Easy to navigate.

·        With a nice and simple layout.

Well, after breaking my head a few times and ‘making-n-breaking’ the code several times, I think I have come close to what I want it. I say close, because this is an ever increasing site.

Now, I have to design the new Business Cards, Brochures and the whole nine yards to match the new look. But, hey, let it all be in the name of the Green. J
